On June 25, 2009, I began seeing and hearing for the first time heavy commercial jet traffic coming in off the Sound -- over the beaches I have walked and watched sunsets from winter, spring, summer and fall for 40 years -- and heading inland over Fairfield to the north and northeast. On this date I logged these planes as I was walking from west to east so it is most likely planes kept going over the golf course, Sasco Beach etc. as I continued logging the planes overhead or in front of me.
